All Things Testosterone

resource preview

Testosterone (and the other sex hormones!) is an important part of the health puzzle, for men and women both! Levels tend to be low in our modern world, but there are a lot of wonderful ways we can support healthy testosterone levels – and hormones overall!

image TESTOSTERONE AT A GLANCE

  • Testosterone is produced in both men and women
  • Levels are higher in men than women, though both need testosterone
  • Production significantly increases during puberty, then declines from age 35+
  • Testosterone levels affect libido, mood, muscle mass and tone, and more

LOW TESTOSTERONE & MEN Low levels of testosterone, also called low T levels, can produce a variety of symptoms in men, including low energy levels, low libido, problems with weight, mood disruptions, and even bone density issues.

While testosterone production naturally tapers off as a man ages, other factors can cause hormone levels to drop, including exposure to parabens and other chemicals in personal care and home products – especially over a lifetime!

LOW TESTOSTERONE & WOMEN Testosterone levels decline steadily in adult women as well, however, low T levels can cause issues such as decreased libido, difficulty concentrating, depression, and reduced bone strength and density.

Similarly to men, low testosterone can be caused by exposure to chemicals in our daily products, but it can also be caused by hysterectomy, adrenal or thyroid issues, or other hormone issues.

TESTOSTERONE-SUPPORTING OILS & SUPPLEMENTS If you are looking for support in this area, there are multiple supplements and oils you can use! Usually a combination is the key for most people, especially women, because when one hormone is out of balance, the others are likely out of balance as well!

image SUPPLEMENTS:

  • PowerGize: PowerGize is infused with Blue Spruce, Goldenrod, and Cassia essential oils and is formulated to help individuals of all ages boost stamina and performance. PowerGize helps sustain energy levels, strength, mental and physical vibrancy, and vitality and helps support healthy hormone levels, especially testosterone.
  • EndoGize: EndoGize is a daily women's hormone support supplement powered by essential oils, minerals, and herbs, including ashwagandha root – a well known herb for hormone balance and stress reduction. EndoGize also contains DHEA, a hormone precursor for estrogen and testosterone, DHEA is naturally made in the body, but levels decline as we age. These ingredients work synergistically to create a formula that supports a healthy endocrine system for women.
  • PD 80/20: PD 80/20 is a daily supplement that contains pregnenolone and DHEA, two substances produced naturally by the body that decline with age. Pregnenolone is the key precursor for the body's production of estrogen, DHEA, and progesterone, and it has an impact on mental acuity and memory. DHEA is involved in maintaining the health of the cardiovascular and immune systems. These ingredients combine to help support the endocrine system and balance overall hormone levels.

image CREAMS:

  • Prenolone Plus Body Cream: This body cream smells incredible and provides so many wonderful hormone supporting herbs such as St. John's wort, wild yam extract, ginkgo biloba leaf extract and green tea leaf extract. These herbs and essential oils work synergistically to promote a healthy balance of hormones while also nourishing the skin. The DHEA in Prenolone Plus can be really helpful to some women. DHEA is a hormone precursor for estrogen, progesterone and testosterone, meaning you would further increase the hormone levels that you need.

image ESSENTIAL OILS:

  • Idaho Blue Spruce: Idaho Blue Spruce is a wonderful way to help support healthy testosterone levels in men or women! You can apply this oil, but many choose to ingest it in a capsule with olive oil for a more robust result.
  • Goldenrod: Goldenrod is another testosterone supporting oil that many choose to both apply and ingest. If libido is an issue, this is a great oil to apply topically before intimacy.
