Peace and Calming is one of Young Living's most popular blends, and for good reason! This blend of Tangerine, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, and Blue Tansy will surely become a favorite in your family to relax the body and calm emotions. It is also one of our favorites for supporting sweet, restful sleep! Try one of these favorite recipes to enjoy this incredible, soothing oil in your daily routine!

image ROLLER BLENDS WITH PEACE & CALMING

  • Peace & Calming is a favorite daily fragrance! Use it alone, pair with citrus oils, or try this Unicorn Roller for emotional support.
    • 10mL roller
    • 15 drops each Peace & Calming, Valor, Lavender, Bergamot, Tangerine, Patchouli
    • 10 drops Vanilla
    • Carrier of choice or a pump or two of Relaxation Massage Oil
    • Roll onto the chest, wrists, neck or anywhere liberally and frequently.
    • This also makes a great room spray! Simply use a 2 oz glass spray bottle, the same amount of oils and filtered water.
  • For another spin on a personal fragrance try this Sweet Summertime roller blend:
    • 10mL roller
    • 20 drops Peace & Calming
    • 10-15 drops each Lime, Tangerine, Grapefruit
    • Carrier of choice or a pump or two of Relaxation Massage Oil
  • Try this Keep Calm roller when your emotions start to run and you feel overwhelmed
    • 10mL roller
    • 30 drops Peace & Calming
    • 20 drops each Bergamot, Grapefruit
    • Carrier of choice or a pump or two of Relaxation Massage Oil
  • Keep this Tantrum Tamer roller on hand for yourself and/or your little ones:
    • 10mL roller
    • 30 drops Peace & Calming
    • 20 drops each Valor, Endoflex
    • Carrier of choice or a pump or two of Relaxation Massage Oil
  • Make a Sweet Dreams sleep roller:
    • 10mL roller
    • 20 drops each Lavender, Peace & Calming
    • 10 drops Cedarwood
    • Fill with carrier oil of choice or a pump or two of Relaxation Massage Oil
    • Apply over to the big toe, bottom of the feet, neck and behind ears before bed or more frequently as desired.

SELF-CARE RECIPES WITH PEACE & CALMING Peace & Calming is synonymous with emotional health, so getting it into your routine in various ways can go a long way! Try one of these recipes to get this oil on and around you throughout the day.

  • Combine a few drops with Relaxation Massage Oil or Lavender Lotion and apply before bedtime.
  • Add 4–5 drops to 1 cup of Epsom salt for a centering bath at the start of the day or as part of a calming evening routine.
  • Add it to Young Living Bath and Shower Gel Base for a cleanser your entire family will love.
  • Try this Wind Down Massage Oil:
    • 4 oz pump bottle
    • 20 drops Peace & Calming essential oil
    • 10 drops Cedarwood or Lavender essential oil
    • Carrier of choice
  • Add Peace & Calming to your DIY chest rub! This oil is very supportive of the airways as well. Have really littles ones? Just use P&C in some coconut oil! Soothing Chest Rub:
    • ½ cup solid coconut oil
    • 10 drops each Lemon, R.C, Frankincense
    • 15 drops Peace & Calming
    • Mix all ingredients together, then apply to the chest, back and neck as needed/desired. You can also apply to the bottom of the feet and cover with socks!
  • Make this Floral Sugar Scrub for a little TLC or to give as a gift!
    • 1 cup organic sugar
    • ½ cup coconut or olive oil
    • 15 drops Peace & Calming
    • 10 drops Lavender or Tangerine
    • Mix together. Add more oil to desired consistency, then mix in essential oils. Use on lips, hands, feet - anything you desire!
  • This DIY Whipped Body Butter recipe is a favorite, and adding Peace & Calming is perfect for making it smell amazing and soothe emotions at the same time:
    • 1/2 cup coconut oil
    • 1/2 cup pure organic shea butter
    • 1/8 cup cocoa butter
    • 1 Tbsp Vitamin E oil
    • 50 drops Peace & Calming
    • Melt together coconut oil, shea butter and cocoa butter, then add in vitamin E oil and whisk. Refrigerate until almost half solidified, then use a mixer to whip for 1 to 2 minutes until a fluffy consistency is achieved. Add in essential oils then place in a glass jar.
  • We love this DIY Hand Salve for soothing dry skin (not just hands!)
    • ½ cup Organic Olive Oil](https://amzn.to/3Iyc7i4) (or 1 cup if not using arnica oil)
    • ½ cup organic arnica oil
    • 1 Tbsp shea butter
    • 2 Tbsp unrefined extra virgin coconut oil
    • 3-4 Tbsp beeswax pastilles
    • 40 drops essential oils: Peace & Calming, Lavender, Frankincense, Cedarwood
    • Using a double boiler, place several inches of water in the bottom and place a bowl or pan on top. Turn the heat to low-medium and add the olive oil, shea butter, coconut oil & beeswax and allow it to melt, stirring gently.
    • Remove the bowl from the double boiler. Add Vitamin E oil and essential oils.
    • Allow the mixture to sit for a few minutes to cool but not harden, then pour into the small containers.
    • Essential oils to add for a masculine scent: Sandalwood, Vetiver, Idaho Blue Spruce
  • Make this Dry Skin Bath Soak! Adding oatmeal to the bath is helpful for more acute skin needs, especially for children.
  • Make your own (effective) deodorant with this Natural Deodorant Spray recipe:
  • Make a simple DIY Roll-on Cuticle Oil
    • 1½ teaspoons V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex
    • 10 drops Peace & Calming essential oil
    • 5 drops Frankincense essential oil
    • Add all the above to an empty 15 ml essential oil bottle and add an AromaGlide Roller Fitment. Roll onto your cuticles anytime, anywhere.
  • Make these Sweet Dreams Bath Salts to use before bedtime (great for helping kids wind down as well!)
    • 1 cup magnesium flakes
    • ½ cup epsom salts
    • 10 drops Cedarwood essential oil
    • 10 drops Peace & Calming essential oil
    • Add to a glass jar and mix well.

image HOUSEHOLD RECIPES WITH PEACE & CALMING The sweet, soothing aroma of the Peace & Calming blend makes it a favorite for adding to DIYs around the house as well!

  • Try these DIY Cleaning Fizzies for the bathroom or kitchen:
    • 1 cup Baking Soda
    • ½ cup Citric acid
    • ½ cup Cornstarch
    • 4 teaspoons water
    • 20 drops Peace & Calming
    • Optional 10 drops Orange
    • 3 teaspoons V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex or other carrier
    • Ice cube tray or candy mold
    • Step 1) In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients and mix evenly.
    • Step 2) In a separate bowl, combine water, essential oils or blends, and V-6.
    • Step 3) Pour liquids into the large bowl and mix together until combined.
    • Step 4) Use the mixture to fill an ice cube tray or candy mold about three fourths full. If the mixture expands and spills over the mold, gently repack into the mold.
    • Step 5) Let sit overnight to dry in a room temperature area. When dry, pop tablets out and store in a glass jar.
    • To Use: When needed, put a tablet in the toilet bowl, hard-to-clean bottles, or sink full of dishes to help clean and deodorize. Let sit in the bowl, bottle, or sink for 20–30 minutes to fizz and dissolve. Once dissolved, flush or rinse out.
  • Make DIY Scented Sachets to bring a fresh, spa-inspired aroma to any area of your home.
    • ½ cup Organic uncooked rice
    • ¼ cup Epsom Salt
    • 1 cup Dried lavender buds
    • Muslin cotton drawstring pouches, approximately 5 inches long by 4 inches wide
    • 25 drops each Lavender, Peace & Calming essential oil
      1. In a medium bowl, mix rice, Epsom salt, flower buds, and essential oil to thoroughly scent the mixture.
      1. Spoon mixture into your muslin pouch.
      1. Place anywhere you want to add a fresh lavender scent.
      1. Refresh your pouch every 2-3 weeks by opening it up and adding more drops of essential oil
  • Make an Herbal Deodorizing Spray for pet beds, upholstered surfaces, car upholstery, etc!
    • To a 4oz glass spray bottle add
    • ¼ cup white vinegar
    • 15 drops Peace & Calming essential oil
    • 15 drops Lavender essential oil
    • 10 drops Lemon essential oil
    • Pinch sea salt or splash of witch hazel
    • Filtered water
    • Spray lightly onto surfaces to remove unwanted odors.
